Very important Participation conditions for Scuba Diving at MERO DIVING:

By signing this Mero Diving Club enrolement form, the participant agrees to the following conditions:

  • The participant has been duly advised that diving activities entail physical stress and the diver participates voluntary and at his own risk.
  • The participant or diver will show a valid medical certificate, not older than two years, for divers under 40 years. Over 40 years, one year valid only.
  • The diver will show a diving certificate and up-to-date logbook. Check-dive or a Scuba Skills Update Course will be needed after a long period of diving inactivity or new divers.
  • No alcohol or other drugs should have been taken within the 12 hours prior to diving activity.
  • The safety of Scuba Diving activities is only warrantied when all equipment is fully functional. The condition of the diving school’s equipment is regulary and thoroughly checked by Mero Diving Club, this, however, does not absolve the participant of the responsability for checking the functional condition of the equipment before every dive.
  • It is not allowed to take any souvenir from the bottom of the sea.
  • A participant may only use his/ her owne quipment if passed the current I.T. (technical inspection), legal Spanish Standards Organisation for Safety Regulations. The participant is liable for all damage which results from malfunction of his/ her own equipment.
  • According to Spanish law, every diver must present/prove a valid, specific diving accident and liability insurance. (Also available with us, included in the price for beginner courses)
  • The participants minor than 18 years need the written permission (signature) of a parent or guardian.
  • During the diving activities the instructions given by the authorized Scuba Diving staff must be striclty observed. Non-observance of these instructions inmediately excludes the participant from further diving activities without money refund.
  • It is not allowed to participate in diving activities without buoancy compensator (jaket).
  • The diving club/ school, its instructors and assistents are only liable for damages which may be attributed to their own negligance.
  • The diving club is not liable in case of loss, damage or robbery of equipment belonging to the participant kept at the Base or in the boat of the diving school.
  • All dives will be done in a non-decompression zone.
  • A security stop of 3 min. at 5 mtr. will be done before emerging.
  • The diver is fully economically responsible for all the lost or damage to the rented diving equipment.
  • I asume the veracity of my declarations.
  • Your data will be used exclusively for the purpose of the task or documents requested by you. After expiry of the legal retention periods, we will delete these data.
  • In order to add you to our newsletter distribution list, we require a confirmation from you that you are the owner of the email address provided and that you expressly wish to receive this. No other processing or transfer to third parties will take place! Right of revocation: You can revoke the newsletter and your consent to the storage of your data at any time.
  • All dives take place in the MARINE RESERVE aerea around Cala Ratjada, Mallorca
